NJ Licensed Personal Injury Attorney (must have trial experience!)

An award-winning and established plaintiff law firm with 12 offices is seeking an experienced NJ Licensed Personal Injury Attorney with at least five years of experience.

The candidate will focus on a broad range of personal injury cases—including auto, motorcycle, truck, and slip-and-fall accidents—and serve as a dedicated advocate for clients. You will work collaboratively with paralegals and legal assistants while handling complex cases from intake to verdict or settlement. We are looking for a compassionate, self-motivated trial attorney ready to take an integral role in our team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Communicate with clients to understand their legal needs and provide informed advice.
• Develop strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively.
• Review discovery documents and determine the optimal course of action for each case.
• Conduct full depositions and oral hearings with witnesses and experts.
• Prepare all necessary documents to file cases, managing a caseload of approximately 150 cases.
• Collaborate closely with legal assistants and paralegals to prepare comprehensive briefs for trial.
• Maintain a consistent schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences based on case requirements.
• Schedule and administer full depositions of case witnesses and experts.
• Supervise two paralegals.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in plaintiff’s personal injury cases.
• Must be licensed to practice law in NJ.
• Proficiency in negotiating settlements with insurance carriers and resolving property damage claims.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with case and document management systems (e.g., Smart Advocate).
• Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
• Proven experience with trials and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Ability and willingness to travel to court.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred.
