Job Summary:
The Distribution Center and Logistics Supervisor are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the three-shift warehouse.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assures compliance to all required industry standards and government requirements as stated in the Ideal-Tridon Quality Manual, Quality Management System, process documentation, and all Company Human Resources, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines to ensure customer quality requirements are met.
- Responsibility for assuring all equipment operators (forklift and order pickers comply with the training guidelines (EHS-20-0042 and EHS-20-0023).
- Responsible for ensuring Warehouse Team Members are trained to perform their functions in accordance with customer requirements.
- Maintains and protects all company, supplier, and customer proprietary and confidential information.
- Leads and directs employee functions such as selection, hiring, and development of employees, including making salary decisions, conducting performance reviews, and creating development plans.
- Manages training of personnel, including sponsor certifications and hands-on training. Serve as a mentor.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensures resource management by providing positive and professional leadership for the employees in the day-to-day operations of the DC by leading the effort of selecting, training, and developing a strong team of DC Associates; and provides day-to-day on-the-floor direction for all DC operations.
- Maintains late order dollars at or below the company goal utilizing effective practices involving pre-planning, work duty realignment, or overtime;
- Provides customer line order fill at or above 93%.
- Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings.
- Monitors customer satisfaction and complaints and failsafe actions implemented to eliminate/ minimize CCRs (Customer Complaints), RGA (Return Goods), and debit/credit maintenance, logs, etc.
- Maintains efficiency/productivity by managing and developing measurement tools.
- Exports document errors.
- Manages Month-end close cut-off to satisfy Sarbanes Oxley.
- Maintains favorable budget results, tracking and charting major areas for trends.
- Monitors purchases, invoices, and overtime.
- Understand the process for containing nonconforming products and completing an RID.
- Ensures compliance with the Quality Management System, Environmental Management System, and applicable regulatory requirements such as NAFTA rules and regulations.
- Assesses improvements needed for Manage Customer Satisfaction Requirements (TS).
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field is preferred, or equivalent education and experience required
- Minimum five years of well-rounded materials supervision experience required with previous DC or related materials/distribution experience preferably within an Auto OE or related environment.
- Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and/or sitting and reaching with hands and arms.
- May occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
- Adequate eyesight.
