IdeaTek is seeking a dynamic and passionate Community Relations Manager to build and strengthen relationships between our organization and the communities we serve. This role is crucial in fostering a positive public image, promoting our mission, and creating mutually beneficial partnerships.
Location:
This position allows for remote work within the SE Kansas, Joplin, Springfield/Branson area, with occasional travel to our main office in Buhler, KS.
Job Summary
The Community Relations Manager will develop and implement comprehensive community engagement strategies, build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, and represent the organization at community events and initiatives. This position requires excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as well as a genuine commitment to community engagement.
Responsibilities
Strategy Development & Implementation:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field strongly preferred
Experience: 5 years of experience in community relations, public relations, or a related field. Experience in telecommunications or technology is a plus.

Responsibilities
Strategy Development & Implementation:
- Develop and implement comprehensive community engagement plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Research and identify community needs and opportunities for collaboration.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of community relations initiatives and make adjustments as needed.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, organizations, businesses, and residents.
- Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and conferences.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and the community.
- Develop and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials.
- Respond to media inquiries and community concerns.
- Prepare reports and presentations on community relations activities.
- Partner with Customer Acquisition Project Manager to identify, plan and execute community events, workshops, and outreach programs.
- Identify and develop partnerships with community organizations and businesses.
- Negotiate and manage sponsorship agreements.
- Collaborate with partners on joint initiatives and programs.
- Develop and manage the budget for community relations activities.
- Track expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
