Overview
The Financial Analyst functions acts as a business support person to the Operations and Financial Management team. Responsible for analyzing and developing standard costs, bill of materials (BOM), and assisting in the development of the annual budget. This person will work closely with the manufacturing leaders and the rest of the business unit to perform margin analysis, as well as understanding circumstances and how they impact the financial results.
Essential Duties :
- Ensure financial analysis and reports of manufacturing costs for business operations & executives
- Assist with cost analysis and product unit costing
- Building cost analysis consolidation and analysis
- Provide manufacturing cost accounting support to the operations
- Contribute to Month end close, review of variances from budget, & expenses reviews
- Prepare KPI (Scorecard) analysis and reporting business metrics
- Perform Ad hoc projects analysis as needed
- Participate on new projects and cost saving initiatives
- Month-End financial activities and reporting to senior management and corporate
- Monthly analytical review of material consumption
- Month-end and special projects
- Monthly preparation of journal entries and reconciliations
- Facilitate monthly physical inventory, and perform reconciliation
- Special project improvement activities
- Build reports leveraging Power BI to support inventory reconciliation and reporting core model
- Investigate automation capabilities with Power automate, make recommendations for best practice, and implement to ease manual nature of inventory management
- Initiate and lead special projects for process improvements
- Assist with year-end audit by providing data requested by external auditors
