Responsibilities
Overview: The Print/Graphics Supervisor will manage and direct the daily operations of the Litho & Screen Printing areas on 3rd shift while assiting in the Supervison of Plating, Composition & Ink department employees.
Start date on 3rd shift will be January 1st, 2025. Candidates hired before this date will train during the day shift until 1/1/25.
Shift: 10:30pm - 7:00am
Role & Responsibilities:
- Responsible to communicate and enforce the Safety, Security and Attendance Policies with all employees on a consistent basis; thus supporting the Fundamental Principals of IDEMIA.
- Responsible to enforce and promote the consistent use of the 7 quality basics, QRCI and to support the continued ISO training program goals.
- Responsible for quality of the printed product to ensure all material leaving the pressroom is in agreement to customer requirements.
- Provide the maximum level of productivity by efficiently utilizing the equipment and communicating with planning for maximum loading efficiencies.
- Responsible for minimizing scrap & reruns in the pressroom.
- Responsible for administering press ok's to maintain high level of quality.
- Responsible to establish communication between Graphic Supervisors and press crew before and after his/her shift
- Monitor daily attendance and punctuality, keeping individual attendance records and approving all time sheets through "ADP".
- Administer regular performance reviews for employees and record in performance.
- Responsible for coordinating maintenance and repair of Litho and Screen printing equipment.
- Delegate work orders to press operators, organize and approve overtime.
- Interview, assess performance, administer discipline process (CAN), recommend hiring of personnel.
- Assist in the training of pressroom personnel.
- Help on presses, mix ink when necessary.
- Sustain business relationships with outside vendors within all the operational groups to ensure transfer of technology and processes.
- Special projects assigned by Manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED Equivalent plus 3-5 years related experience supervising commercial printing operations.
- Knowledgeable of graphics, prepress, and printing processes
- Experience in silk-screen and lithographic printing
- Working knowledge of laminates, adhesives and printing on plastic
- Ability to formulate different solutions to achieve customer goals
- Knowledge of graphic arts and printing terminology
- Able to solve production problems in a fast paced work environment
- Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Able to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot equipment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Experience in UV printing required
