Responsibilities
Overview:
IDEMIA Exton, PA, is seeking a hands-on Generalist Systems Administrator II to manage and maintain our on-premises IT infrastructure in a manufacturing environment. This role acts as the bridge between Support Specialists and Senior System Administrators, overseeing Windows Server administration, network management, and backup operations. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience managing Windows Server environments and is comfortable working on-site with both physical and virtual infrastructure to support manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Windows Server Administration: Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and other Windows-based services in a production environment.
- Backup & Recovery: Ensure reliable backup operations, perform routine recovery tests, and support business continuity using Veeam.
- On-Premises Server Management: Maintain and administer physical and virtual servers, including DAS, NAS, and iSCSI storage systems.
- Security & Compliance: Perform system audits, patch management, vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.
- Network & Infrastructure Support: Collaborate with local and global teams to troubleshoot network issues and maintain a stable environment.
- Vendor Coordination: Work with external vendors to manage third-party system maintenance, including telephony, cabling, HVAC, and Internet services.
- End-User Support: Not the primary focus, but includes handling IT tickets and assisting walk-in users with computer issues as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of IT and security best practices (e.g., ITIL, PMI, Six Sigma, ISO 27001).
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server environments, backup solutions (Veeam preferred), and network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with SQL Server infrastructure (preferred).
- Aruba network devices (preferred).
- Familiarity with HCI (preferred).
Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT-related fields
- CompTIA Server
- CompTIA Network
- ITIL Foundation Certification
