Position Summary:
Identity Group – Brunswick Campus is an industry leader in retail sign and visual decor manufacturing. We perform work for major retailers and grocery clients nationwide. The Graphic Technician is a key part of this service.
Graphic Technicians utilize graphics software to prepare files for sign productions. They interact with Project Manager to prepare files as well as communicate with production staff as a resource during fabrication. Communication directly with customers occurs frequently. Extended hours and weekend work occur regularly, and are mandatory in the event the production schedule requires it.
Essential Functions:
· Read and interpret work orders and technical drawings.
· Preform Preflight and Production Art Creation for both Print and Fabrication Sign Manufacturing
· Utilize the following Software
o Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Esko Preflight Esko Automation, Colorgate RIP
· Archive Customer source files in accordance to Identity Group file structure
· Apply customer supplied artwork to create production art files
· Communicate with Project Managers and Customers via email and orally
· Communicate with Production staff via orally and established facility communication tools
· Perform work in accordance with company and national safety standards.
- Demonstrate regular and consistent daily attendance at the Brunswick Campus.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information.
- Comply with all Identity Group policies and procedures.
- Performs other job functions as assigned by Manager or designee.
Requirements:
- Detail Oriented and Organized
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to develop knowledge of commonly used materials and substrates.
- Must be able to read and understand process instructions and work orders.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly must be able to sit, talk, see, hear and occasionally walk.
- Stand for long periods of time and may safely lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and handle and frequent use of fingers for keying.
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· 1-3 years’ Experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
· 1-3 years’ Experience in printing or sign manufacturing industry (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
