Summary
This position involves diagnosing and treating patients with psychiatric and mental health conditions, including those at risk of developing such conditions. Responsibilities include prescribing medications and implementing non-pharmacological interventions, such as therapy, to support patient well-being.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Developing appropriate treatment plans
- Providing effective management of patient care with proper evaluation
- Must practice in accordance with all applicable State and Federal laws, including current DEA regulations
- Must practice within currently accepted guidelines and scope of practice documents from American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, World Professional Association of TransGender Health, American Academy of Psychiatry and American Psychiatric Nurses Association
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum of Master’s Degree in Nursing Science from an accredited NP program specifically focused in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing
- Must possess a current license in good standing (or can obtain one) with the State of Alaska
- Hold a current certification as a PMHNP

- 1099 Independent Contractor Position
- Billing is handled by Identity, but malpractice insurance is the provider’s responsibility
- Flexible schedule; remote telehealth providers encouraged to apply
- Minimal administrative duties: Attendance at staff and provider meetings is required
