The Senior Account Executive (SAE) role is responsible for the strategic development and execution of public relations activities across multiple client accounts, driving client success by delivering high-quality media strategies, fostering strong client relationships, and providing expert guidance to junior and support staff. This role requires a deep understanding of media relations, marketing trends, and strong project management skills. The SAE serves as a key client contact and is responsible for overseeing campaign execution, media outreach, and providing strategic insights that align with client vision and agency point of view. This role requires a creative eye for media and the ability to take great brand narratives and turn them into a volume of national, regional, and local media coverage.
Significant Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead daily account management activities, including developing and executing media strategies and pitch materials, pitching and securing media coverage, overseeing media monitoring and ensuring timely reporting for client accounts.
- Serve as the primary executor and main point of contact on a portfolio of client programs, managing client relationships, and consistently delivering high-level media placements and campaign successes.
- Create, cultivate, and nurture effective relationships with key media contacts, influencers, and other industry stakeholders locally and nationally across consumer print, digital and broadcast media outlets.
- Provide strategic insights based on industry research, competitive analysis, and emerging trends to inform client strategies and recommendations.
- Delegate to and guide junior and support staff, providing direction and feedback on assigned tasks and projects.
- Manage event strategy, logistics, and on-site support, collaborating with cross-functional teams, for key client events,
- Occasional night/weekend availability and travel may be required based on client service and business needs.

Qualifications:
- 4 years experience in public relations, corporate communications and/or other relevant roles. Agency experience is highly regarded
- Outstanding writing, editing, presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to think critically and to provide high-level strategic insights and analysis.
- Demonstrates an outstanding ability to organize, project manage and prioritize multiple tasks/accounts, delegating effectively to ensure deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded.
- Highly motivated to be an active participant in the success of both the agency and of your own continued skill development as part of professional and personal growth.
Essential Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of AP writing and editing style.
- Proficiency with PR databases/tools – i.e. Cision, PR Newswire, Critical Mention, and other similar platforms.
- Proven expertise in media relations, securing significant coverage across B2C and B2B print, digital, and broadcast outlets while building and maintaining relationships with key media contacts nationally and locally.
- Ability to craft and deliver compelling stories that position clients as thought leaders and uncover untold narratives, leveraging a deep understanding of both traditional and new media platforms.
