Characterize performance of candidate adsorbent materials using industry-standard test protocols, establishing uptake and absorption kinetics of common impurity molecules in a typical fab gas streams.
Develop/select novel adsorbent materials to improve performance and reliability of purification systems.
Design, operate, maintain and improve apparatus for adsorption studies.
Lead physical and chemical characterization of materials using advanced spectroscopic methods.
Interpret adsorption performance data based on advanced characterization methods.
Major Challenges:
Standing up laboratory- and pilot-scale test systems capable of rapidly screening and characterizing candidate adsorbents.
Oversight of multiple tasks with varying priorities, goals, protocols, and durations in a fast-paced environment.
Organization, management, and synthesis of of test data into actionable, statistically meaningful information.
Working with a multi-disciplinary team to arrive at manufacturable component designs and reliably performing systems.
