Job Title: IT Applications Solutions Architect – Mid
Location: Hybrid - Washington DC (1 day onsite)
Duration: 16 Months
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
Requires five to ten years of experience in multiple IT areas and three to five years of relevant technology architecture experience
Excellent Verbal and Written skills
Requires four to seven years of systems development and/or business experience
Strong knowledge of quality management
Experience with Test Driven Development, and/or test automation for DevOps
Core Java development experience (Java, Core Java, JE22, JSP, Servlet, JDBC, Angular.JS)
Experience with UI and API test automation
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of testing tools (Jira and Jira Xray a plus), QA methodologies and DevOps
Essential Functions:
The Solution Architect for this role ensures applications are built with best practices, reusability, and an understanding of how to use technology to best meet business needs.
The role mirrors client's commitment to provide support to ensure projects are designed and built to support the Enterprise Quality Standards.
The Solution Architect demonstrates the ability to think and operate on both the strategic and tactical levels (e.g. He/she is able to devise a short-term solution that complements the longer term goals).
He/she serves as a Change Agent who effectively challenges the status quo and helps the team embrace improved methods and newer technologies.
He/she will be responsible for ensuring sustainable services and applications are created while strictly adhering to client's Enterprise Quality Standards.
Monitors, evaluates and makes recommendations to modernize Quality Assurance practices within enterprise-wide processes such as; test life cycles, change management and release management.
Heavy focus on the development of Quality metrics to produce actionable outcomes to empower Quality Enablement leadership to drive the transformation and modernization of Quality practices at client's in all aspects of the SDLC.
Provides coaching to less-experienced individuals.
Supports continued evolution of QA strategies and activities supporting best practices and quality deployments.
