What You Can Expect
- Consult with livestock producers, general livestock veterinary practices, specialty practices, and academic veterinarians on medical protocols to promote growth and utilization of IDEXX products, services, and medical testing; and to promote customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Represent IDEXX to the livestock industry, the veterinary community and academia. The LPD PSV partners with the LPD Commercial teams, Marketing and collaborates with internal teams providing medical messaging, medical product training to sales and marketing (results interpretation, sampling, etc.) and managing field trials.
- Produce results and data analysis and interpretation to show the value of the diagnostic tools to producers and veterinarians.
- Assist and support producers and veterinarians interpret diagnostic results, implement practices and management protocols to improve animal health, productivity and profitability.
- Frequent travel to Australia (approx. 4-6 times per year).
- A tertiary degree in Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
- Registered veterinarian in New Zealand or Australia
- A minimum 3 years’ experience in a large animal veterinary practice is essential
- Knowledge and understanding of IDEXX products and services with the ability to communicate effectively
- Solid knowledge of current topics and relevant issues regarding the livestock industry (Bovine - Beef, Dairy and Small Ruminant).
- Strong business acumen, including specific knowledge of livestock diseases across ANZ.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively and appropriately influence others.
- Excellent customer service and business relationship-building skills required.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the willingness and ability to work collaboratively with others.
- High integrity and honesty to keep commitments to Employees, Customers and the Company.
- Goal oriented, with drive, initiative and passion for business and team excellence. Ability to organize and prioritize.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Teams, Workday, and salesforce
