SUMMARY SCOPE OF ROLE
Responsible for positive experience of guests while maintaining the quality standards and supervision of the outlet staff.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/RELEVANT WORK QUALIFICATIONS
High school or equivalent education required.
Minimum of two years’ experience in public contact or customer service position required. Preferred restaurant/hospitality experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITES

- 85% Control the flow of work in the room by seating guests in station rotation while maintaining guest lists and following and enforcing check issue procedures.
- 10% Assign opening and/or closing side duties. Supervise side work and ensure completed lists of set ups of all stations before departure of service staff.
- 5% Handle reservation book, take incoming telephone calls, note reservations and special requests by guests.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform general clerical tasks including maintaining logbooks and reservation books.
- Assist bus attendant in table setting and general dining room maintenance during peak periods.
- Perform other duties as requested, such as executing special guest requests.
KEYS TO SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE INCLUDE
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
- Knowledge of all menu items, prices and general service procedures.
- Must possess basic computational ability.
- Must possess basic computer skills.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK HOURS
This is an hourly position and will be scheduled based on operational need/coverage.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift to 50lbs, clearly verbally communicate with employees and public. speak, hear, see, read, write, type, dial, reach, and bend.
- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
- May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other associates.
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
