Job Description: Server Assistant/Bar Back
Location: The Confluence Hotel, 200 2nd Street West, Hastings, MN, 55033
The Confluence Hotel is currently seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as server assistants/barbacks. As a server assistant/bar back, you will play a crucial role in supporting our restaurant and bar operations. With The Confluence Hotel's commitment to exceptional service, we are looking for reliable, proactive, and eager individuals to contribute to a seamless dining experience for our guests. Your responsibilities will include assisting servers with table setup, clearing and resetting tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the dining area. Additionally, as a bar back, you will support the bartenders in preparing and maintaining the bar area, restocking inventory, and assisting with beverage service as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist servers and bartenders in providing excellent customer service
- Set up and clear tables in a timely manner
- Run drinks and food to tables
- Stock supplies, including glassware and utensils
- Clean and sanitize glassware and utensils
- Wash dishes and assist with kitchen tasks as needed
- Assist with bar setup and breakdown
- Replenish ice and prepare garnishes
- Restock inventory as needed
- Remove trash and maintain cleanliness of the bar and dining areas
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth operations
- Perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items
- Multitask and follow instructions from supervisors
