Delivery Driver

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial driving, route driving, and heavy lifting. A strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively are essential.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
• Operate a box truck or similar vehicle for deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Navigate designated routes efficiently while maintaining a schedule for timely deliveries.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
• Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks for moving heavy items as needed.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies encountered during transport.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar courier role is preferred.
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards is essential.
• Experience with loading/unloading techniques and heavy lifting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in route planning and navigation systems to optimize delivery efficiency.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and other relevant equipment safely.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing delivery schedules.

Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles such as vans or trucks
- Load and unload cargo
- Follow delivery schedules and routes efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
- Use equipment like pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks as needed
- Maintain delivery records accurately

Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience in commercial driving or courier services is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy packages and navigate various routes
- Strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
