Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Medical Records Specialist (San Jose):
- Processing clinical documentation to support patient care and billing needs
- Managing electronic medical records workflows related to medical records, orders, and claims processing
- Monitoring claim holds and tracking progress to ensure timely claims processing
- Conducting chart audits to verify compliance with agency standards
- Assisting with processing Additional Documentation Requests (ADRs) and payer appeals
Required Skills for Medical Records Specialist (San Jose):
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of office experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in data entry and electronic medical record systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service
