We provide TMA’s with an experienced fleet of drivers along with message board and arrowboard rentals and sales. IDS supplies & installs temporary construction, long-term temporary construction, and permanent signage. We provide full-service traffic setup operations along with flagging services. We supply and install temporary traffic signals, sand barrel arrays, temporary (non-redirective) and temporary (redirective) impact attenuators for work zone setups as well as permanent impact attenuators. IDS Highway Safety, Inc. is an elite full-service traffic control solution within the New England area.
Job Description
We are looking for a Field Supervisor/Scheduler with 3-5 years of experience in construction scheduling and/or construction field supervision to join our team.
This is an interesting and rewarding position working with our senior staff and interfacing with clients, developing and maintaining project schedules and reporting progress and any potential issues. Additional tasks include analysis of construction issues, schedule analysis, and assistance with the preparation of project reports and tracking.
- Work closely with contractors & owners to develop, maintain and manage multiple project schedules; to include periodic tracking and status updates
- Assist in the creation and management of comprehensive daily personnel schedules
- Reviewing project documents including drawings and specifications
- Perform routine, regular site visits throughout our service area to provide visibility and support for field employees
- Enforce compliance with all company safety policies in addition to federal & state laws and regulations. Identify and manage potential job site hazards and develop mitigation tactics
- Develop & maintain positive working relationships with clients, contractors and state agency representatives
- Project management duties as required to include but not limited to assisting in the management of tasks, scheduling, dig safe work areas, meet contractors & field personnel on site to develop strategies and best practices for efficient completion of work
- Collaborate with General Manager & Lead Estimator to understand individual project goals and manage workload to achieve those goals
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred
- Detailed scheduling concepts
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Field construction experience preferred
- Position consists of non-standard work hours. Night & weekend work required
- Committed to quality, integrity and an ability to work both independently and with teams
- Travel as required to fulfill position and project responsibilities
- Able to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with superiors, co-workers, clients, and contractors
- Must be able to perform complex tasks and handle multiple priorities and can perform exceptionally in a time sensitive, high-pressure environment
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time. Squat, bend and lift more than 50lbs. at times
