The Gig
We're looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to spearhead our expanding Paid Media practice. As Director of Paid Media Strategy, you'll be an expert in paid search, social, programmatic display, and video campaigns. Your mission: drive growth by securing new business and expanding existing accounts. You'll collaborate closely with our internal teams teams to close deals and enhance our current partnerships with cutting-edge paid media strategies.
You Will
Lead the training and development of the Media team (20%)
- Manage and mentor a team of Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic Leads (3 Managers) while providing guidance and professional development for junior team members (6 individuals)
Work with our delivery team to fulfil campaign implementation and optimizations for our largest enterprise level clients (50%)
- Actively involved in campaign planning, implementation, performance analysis, and optimization on critical accounts
- Works closely with social, organic, and content teams to identify cross-channel opportunities and performance benefits
- Oversee team members (when applicable) to execute on accounts while providing oversight and strategic guidance for larger initiatives
- Work with client management team to meet reporting deadlines and aid in relevant discussion
- Lead campaign research, implementation, analysis, and proactive tactical recommendations
Work with the new business teams on new client opportunities (20%)
- Responsible for prospect discovery and accompanying audience research, tactical recommendations, strategy proposals, and relevant media planning
- Responsible for building & delivering new client presentations
- Present media plans for new client sales presentations
Evaluate existing campaigns & partnerships for paid media opportunity (10%)
- Aligns with leadership on potential new technology partners and evaluates tools for inclusion in daily process
- Monthly review with sales, client service, and delivery leadership on existing accounts to help identify and outline tactical opportunities
About You
- Minimum 8 years of paid media campaign management hands-on experience, some of which must be in a digital agency environment
- Minimum 5 years managing a team of paid media specialists
- Expert level of knowledge of Google Ads, Bing Ads, GDN, YouTube, Amazon Ads.
- Expert understanding of programmatic buying tactics and how display/video interacts with other paid and organic marketing channels
- Moderate level of knowledge of Google Analytics, GTM practices and paid social media channels.
- Awareness of all digital marketing channels and their potential impact on paid media performance (Email, Social Media, Organic, Affiliate)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience working with B2B, B2C, and Ecommerce verticals is required
- Ability to analyze complex issues and to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs and recommendations to solve client challenges
- Ability to think strategically, make innovative recommendations that drive client goals
- Experience working with financial data and budgets, plus developing media plans and forecasting
