The Role
We're looking for a Front-End Developer to join our team in Gothenburg on a contract basis for 9-12 months. You will be responsible for supporting Service team tasks, building, debugging, and supporting the architecture and features for our CMS platform built on Drupal. You’ll work alongside our Client Service team and other members of the development team to help identify solutions, requirements and solve technical results.
You’ll be involved with a collaborative team working from high level, exploratory feature development with Drupal and other technologies, to small defect resolutions and everything in between. You’ll be working with a team that uses industry standard development practices (Gitflow, PHPCS and other code style standards) and a culture of unit and functional testing.
What You'll Be Doing
- Identifying client task requirements and planning out the technical approach to implement solutions within the client delivery
- Debugging and developing front-end functionalities in our Drupal CMS product
- Take an active role in client services team, incl product feature meetings
- Helping to improve our deliveries and practices demonstrating a commitment to good quality
- Keeping up to date with the latest development trends and introducing new technologies where relevant and appropriate
- Upholding code quality and development practice standards; collaborating with other developers within the business
From time to time, you'll also
- Consult on internal website solutions in Drupal Connect.ID CMS product, identifying front end performance improvements as well as “best practices” as defined within the product.
- Contribute modules and patches to the Drupal open source platform
About You
- Previous experience in a similar role with a strong desire to learn and add to your skillset
- Twig templating experience.
- SCSS styling experience including use of 3rd party imports and mixins.
- ES6 JavaScript knowledge and its best practice within Drupal
- An understanding of version control systems such as Git
- An understanding of a range of front end tooling such as Webpack, Gulp, npm
- Ability to understand problems and explain their complexity clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Swedish and English professional language
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
