The Gig
We're looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to join our IDX Phoenix office. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating attractive, functional websites for our clients. This role includes both back-end and front-end development tasks such as implementing WordPress themes, developing WordPress plugins, integrating sites, and ensuring security through regular updates.

What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and scope
• Breakdown requirements into technical tasks and estimate effort for planning
• Design, develop, and customize WordPress themes and plugins
• Ensure website responsiveness and compatibility across various devices
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, optimize website performance and load times
• Implement security measures to protect websites from cyber threats
• Keep up to date with WordPress trends and best practices
• Training clients and team members on effectively using WordPress

About You

• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience
• Advanced proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
• Extensive experience with WordPress CMS, including custom theme and plugin development
• Expertise in responsive web design and mobile optimization
• In-depth knowledge of web security best practices
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Educational background in computer science, web development, or a related field (preferred)
