What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Skilled Laborer position at IE Power?
We are seeking dedicated Construction Laborers to join our team. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a crucial role in assisting with various construction projects and ensuring worksites are safe and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Operate hand and power tools under supervision and assist with heavy equipment
- Perform basic carpentry and painting tasks as needed
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
- Assist with general labor of concrete, drywall, and other related construction
Requirements
- Ability to lift and/or move heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Understanding of safety protocols at construction sites
- Valid drivers license and transportation
- Physical ability to walk jobsites in uneven terrain.
- Ability to work at heights and from ladders.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
- Perform duties in a work environment that can be wet, hot, cold, dirty, and fast paced
- Be reliable and timely
Preferred
- Prior experience in construction or related field
- Familiarity with construction blueprints and schematics
- Background in oil and gas and other similar industrial construction sites
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
