Job Title: Maintenance Worker
Position Type: Full Time, Non-exempt
Location: Worthington, PA and Freeport, PA
Job Summary: The Maintenance Worker will spend the majority of their time at Worthington Machine LLC and a minority of their time at IE Power LLC doing general maintenance for the companies. This includes maintaining indoor and outdoor facilities and machinery/ equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical
-Basic assembly/manufacturing of equipment or parts such as end caps.
- Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment on a daily basis.
- Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
- Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
- Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures.
- Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
- Remove hardened material from machines or machine parts.
- Replace or repair metal, wood, leather, glass, or other lining in machines, or in equipment compartments or containers.
- Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
- Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work areas.
- Collect scrap metal and extra parts.
- Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenished.
- Measure, mix, prepare, and test chemical solutions used to clean or repair machinery and equipment.
- Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
- Replace, empty, or replenish machine and equipment containers such as gas tanks, coolant, or boxes.
-Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies.
-Basic maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing such as changing filters, lightbulbs, and troubleshooting.
General
- Ensuring buildings are tidy, clean, and well-maintained.
- Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms.
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Dusting surfaces.
- Cleaning walls, ceilings, windows, and other surfaces.
- Preventing and eliminating indoor pests.
- Handling general building maintenance tasks.
- Basic painting, caulking and other handy tasks.
- Emptying wastebaskets and disposing of waste and recycling.
- Lawncare including mowing, gravel, and ice and snow removal.
- Moving of equipment and machinery and parts as needed.
Job Requirements:
-High School degree or equivalent.
-Must have valid PA Driver’s license, and be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
-Maintenance experience.
-Physical ability to walk, push, pull, and lift heavy equipment.
-Reliable to show up on time and have transportation to and from work.
-Attention to detail and careful handling of equipment, machinery etc.
-Good attitude and able to work independently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50 - $20.50 per hour
