We are looking for a passionate and skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist/HR Generalist to join our HR team. This role will focus primarily on talent acquisition while also supporting broader HR functions to enhance our employee experience.
Job Summary:
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist/HR Generalist, you will play an integral role in all daily HR functions, with a primary focus on talent acquisition. You will be responsible for managing the full recruitment life cycle, hiring and interviewing staff, administering talent pipeline, benefits, and leave, enforcing company policies and practices, and supporting corporate initiatives. Reporting to the VP of HR, you will help develop HR work plans and resolve HR-related issues in collaboration with department managers and supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage full cycle recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiations.
- Develop and implement strategic recruiting plans to attract top talent in alignment with business needs.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates through networking, social media, job boards, and employee referrals.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide guidance on best hiring practices.
- Work closely with temporary staffing agencies to support production roles and staff shortages.
- Conduct or acquire background checks and employment eligibility verifications.
- Conduct and update new hire orientations, including company policy, culture, benefits, and safety.
- Collaborate with management on interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety, and employee relations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and review policies to ensure compliance.
- Provides training and support to other team members of the human resources department
· Utilizes the company’s programs to help sustain and build upon a culture that fosters inclusion, open-door policy, high associate engagement, and talent development focus
- Ensures that all employee files are maintained according to State and Federal regulations.
- Support HR functions, including benefits administration, training and development, and performance management.
- Collaborates with the HR team to implement employee functions such as lunches, holiday parties and recognition events.
- Ensure HR files and records comply with legal requirements and are maintained properly.
- Manage and monitor performance-related issues and implement changes that could increase productivity.
- Utilize HRIS and talent management systems to track applicants and employee data.
- Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives such as recognition events and company functions.
- Administer and maintain compliance with unemployment claims, wage surveys, and separation processes.
- Contribute to company process improvement efforts and HR best practices.

Work Environment:
- Work location(s): Office; metal fabrication/assembly shop.
- Limited exposure to Fumes, airborne particles, wet/humid (non-weather) conditions, toxic/caustic chemicals, and moving mechanical parts/equipment.
- Personal protective equipment requirement: Safety glasses with side-shields when in shop areas. Safety toe shoes when in shop areas.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or HR generalist roles (preferably in a manufacturing setting).
· SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
- Experience with both exempt and non-exempt roles in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle recruiting and HR best practices.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS, payroll systems, and ERP software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADAAA, ACA, ERISA, and OSHA standards.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to make oral and visual training presentations using PowerPoint
- Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) preferred.
· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
