Location and Travel: This will be an office based position in Fargo, ND

MasTec Renewables group is part of the MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure business segment. MasTec’s Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group (CE&I) is a $4 billion annual revenue business unit that provides construction services for industrial facilities; building products manufacturers, power generation facilities, manufacturing plants; solar, wind, and thermal energy plants; buildings, and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Draft legal notices according to contract requirements, including capturing required information to support company positions
- Support project managers with interpretation of contract terms and conditions
- Evaluate certain events and circumstance for change order entitlement
- Support project teams to deliver contract deliverables according to contract requirements
- Provide input during contract reviews and negotiations
- Review and provide input to prime contract exhibits
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or relevant discipline; or equivalent experience
- One year of recent experience in construction contract management on large and complex construction projects in the $30MM to $150MM range
- One years of recent experience in using construction management software
- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the Company’s Zero Injury principles
- Possess subject-matter knowledge in contract management principles and techniques
- Strong understanding of common construction agreement provisions including warranties, limits of liability, risk of loss, schedule milestones/LD’s, force majeure and change orders
- Strong organizational skills, initiative, and meticulous attention to details
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting contract notices
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
- Knowledge of construction contract requirements and associated contract exhibits
- General knowledge of adjacent disciplines such as Estimating, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction
