Position Summary:
IEC is looking for a skilled Porter to work at our 312-unit apartment community located in San Diego, California. The Porter must have experience working in an apartment community and strong communication and follow-up skills, both with residents and other team members.
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of property grounds, leasing office, all common areas, all amenities, to include fitness center, fire pit areas, pool, and BBQ
- Light general maintenance required.
- Walk the grounds to pick up litter, pet waste, etc.
- Sweep the dumpster areas
- Assist maintenance and office staff with various tasks such as posting property correspondence to tenants, such as resident events, and others as assigned
- Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas
- Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them
- Demonstrate customer services skills by treating residents and others with respect
- Ad-hoc assignments as needed
- Emergency on-call as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2-3 years of working experience at an apartment community
- Customer service oriented
- Availability to work Weekends
