Position Overview:
As a Warehouse Associate at IEC Services, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse facilities. You will be responsible for accurately receiving, storing, and distributing a wide variety of products, as well as assisting with inventory management and ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
Receive incoming shipments and verify their accuracy against purchase orders or shipping manifests.
Unload, inspect, and properly store products in designated warehouse locations.
Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring items are properly labeled and documentation is complete.
Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and data entry.
Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse layout and storage strategies.
Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety guidelines.
Assist in resolving any discrepancies, including damaged products or shipment errors.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics is a plus.
Proven experience as a Warehouse Associate or similar role is preferred.
Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, often in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
Strong communication skills and a positive team player attitude.
Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
