If you require assistance, contact talent@ieee.org.Job Description - Product Marketing Specialist (E5225B) (240198) Job SummaryThe Product Marketing Specialist is responsible for telling the world (and company) the story of the Computer Society's products and services. This role is our chief advocate for a specific feature set of products and their benefits. As such, this person is charged with crafting the strategy around the messaging and marketing for new launches and featured products. This position will spend a large portion of time focusing on publications marketing. The role reports to the senior marketing manager and does not manage any direct reports. This position works under minimal supervision.Key Responsibilities Together with the marketing and sales team, educate both internal and external stakeholders about our product features and their benefits.Create product content (e.g., sales enablement documentation, case studies, product videos, website copy, webpages, blog posts, Quora / forum responses) to articulate the benefits of our products to the world, including social media announcements.Assist members of our sales team on calls with prospects when appropriate to provide deeper dives into the product.Work with external partners and develop relationships to communicate and share product information and samples on outside channels and platforms.Speak and present both internally and externally to promote the story of our product.Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to product feature adoption and usage.Develop and manage plans for product outreach and marketing.Work with all departments and relevant volunteers as needed.Coordinate print and online promotions, ad words, landing pages, and write marketing copy.Define requirements and resources, plan, and execute public relations programs that result in increased awareness of IEEE Computer Society publications.Define requirements and resources, plan, and execute new social media programs.Ensure that all messaging and communications, both with internal and external audiences, are consistent.Create and distribute new issue notifications to subscribers for all publications, including transactions.Qualifications EducationBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Advertising, or Communications (Required)Work Experience2-4 years in search engine, digital, or inbound marketing (Required)Previous experience in digital marketing, product marketing, and / or product management (Required)Skills and RequirementsExtremely organized with great prioritization and deadline management skills.Excellent written, interpersonal, communication, and public speaking / presentation skills.Proficiency in using social media and social media software to monitor social media conversations.Bonus experience includes Adobe Creative Suite and blogging.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications.Familiarity with content creation for digital platforms is strongly desired.Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent writing skills, including correspondence, reports, progress reports, emails, and web content pages.Proficiency in content management systems, including building product pages and optimizing conversion paths.Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-team capacity, requiring constant interaction with teammates, partners, and prospects.Prior experience working with volunteers / stakeholders is highly desired.Working knowledge of online platforms like WordPress and SEO concepts.Intermediate knowledge of social media best practices.Excellent problem-solving abilities.Technically savvy with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, email, and database applications.Other Requirements : As defined in IEEE Policies, individuals currently serving on an IEEE board or committee are not eligible to apply.PLEASE NOTE : This position is not budgeted for employer-sponsored immigration support, including all persons in F (both CPT and OPT), J, H, L, or O status.For information on work demands and conditions required for this position, please consult the reference document, "Physical, Mental, and Work Environment Standards for IEEE Positions."
