Job Summary
The Sales Services and Operations Specialist is responsible for sales operations for event, sponsorships, and digital library sales programs. The position delivers high levels of service to customers and works closely with internal teams to ensure successful execution of all sales deliverables. The position will also support other sales related services, including but not limited to, reporting, CRM database, and project management software.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides expert support for all customer needs and fulfillment, communicating regularly via email and phone calls as needed.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers and is available to assist them as needed.
- Develops communication templates to ensure timely messaging and service.
- Works cooperatively with stakeholders to establish deliverable project timelines and milestones that span months.
- Manages CRM and Project management tools and provides internal support to users.
- Proactively coordinates with the appropriate stakeholders to deploy customer satisfaction surveys
- Collaborates with all central departments including conferences, education, membership, IT, and sales & marketing
- Travels to events as needed to assist with sales related activities and other duties as assigned
- Supports sales procedures, enters orders, tracks shipments, and manages customer accounts
- Identifies and resolves problems related to the sales process and customer needs.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provides support to day-to-day for departmental operations and customer service
- Provides support for product related reporting, financials, invoicing, and collections
- Responsible for arranging and deploying shipments to ensure branding and awareness at events
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications - External
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Req
Work Experience
- 4-7 years Sponsorship/conference sales service experience. Req
- 4-7 years Experience working with a non-profit association or society strongly preferred
- Experience working with international customers Preferred
- Experience working with large and small companies, preferably in the technology space. Pref

- Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to build trust, confidence, and respect of vendors, clients, and stakeholders.
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to multi-task priorities, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and have a proactive attitude.
- Must be a technologically savvy knowledge worker who seeks out technology solutions to business challenges. Specifically, technology knowledge and experience needed to produce desired outcomes include: PC skills particularly with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Project Management platforms , and CRM software.
- Must have advanced excel skills and prepare formal business documents.
- Flexible, team-oriented personality.
- Expected to travel up to 10% domestically.
