IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Part-Time Laboratory Courier position at its facility in Brawley, CA.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
- A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred)
- Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory
- Ability to regularly lift up to 30lbs above waist level
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs above waist level
- A valid CA driver's license and clean driving record (including, at minimum, no accidents in the last 5 years)
Laboratory Courier duties include: safely transporting samples from customers to the lab on a fixed schedule, cleaning and maintaining coolers for sample transport, data entry, inventory control, and other duties as assigned.
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 hourly. This is a part-time position eligible for the following benefits: paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours annually) and 401(k). Part-time employees may be eligible for medical insurance after 6 months if working more than 30 hours/week on average during an initial 5-month measurement period.
Multiple shifts are available for this position: either Monday through Wednesday, 6:30am to 3:00pm, or Thursday to Saturday, 6:30am-3:00pm. The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work weekends.
