What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Specialist position at IEM?
IEM is looking for a Full Time- Quality Control Specialist who will be responsible for reviewing claims applications for quality, comprehensiveness, and eligibility while documenting and communicating with case managers as needed within the functional area with limited supervision.

Primary Location:
- Candidates can originate from anywhere in the United States but must be willing to relocate to New Mexico.
- Preference will be given to candidates already residing in New Mexico.
- Your workplace will be in an office environment and remote from a personal location and will depend on the need of the project.
- Review records for duplication of benefits (DOB), fraud, waste, inconsistencies, investigate, and collaborate with and internal partners to resolve issues with analysis and customer service skills. Where problems arise, log support issues, communicate, resolve and escalate according to defined standard operating procedures.
- Analyze and verify provided documentation for inconsistencies, accuracy, and various discrepancies with an understanding of program policy.
- Understand program needs, policy, departmental process flows, and standard operating procedures.
- Follow-up with identified compliance issues, initiate corrective actions, based on policy guidelines, and implement program controls, as necessary.
- Manage individual workload, productivity, and communications that enable accurate, efficient, and policy compliant processing.
- Contribute to team success with effective communication and sound decision making.
- Respond to questions and requests professionally and in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Three (3) or more years of experience providing high level review of documentation and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to exercise impartial, unbiased professional care when reviewing case files. Including the capability of the highest level of professional objectivity for gathering, evaluating, and communicating information.
- Analytical and Comprehension skills to review and understand policy guidelines.
- Ability to perform tasks within a fast-paced environment and limited supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and collaboration with team members.
- Ability to meet the necessary qualifications and suitability requirements to obtain and maintain a FEMA badge, which may include background checks and security clearances as required by FEMA.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a relevant field such as business, communications, economics, or leadership.
- Experience with mortgage, loan, and housing policy, materials, and processes.
- Intermediate level understanding of MS Office and Adobe Reader.
- Understanding the importance and handling of personally identifiable information.
- Office Locations: Office locations are often either owned by the client we work with or by IEM. All candidates are expected to follow any rules and regulations of the office in which they are required to work for that project.
- Remote Work: All remote work environments require the ability to maintain minimum Internet speeds of 25 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download, as well as a ping rate of 100 ms or less during working hours, regardless of the type and number of devices using your Internet connection. You must also have account privileges and access to your Internet service provider account during working hours for the purposes of maintaining the Internet connection, if needed.
- Starting hourly wage based on location and experience: $28.00 - $33.00 (hourly)
