IEM is looking for a Full Time- Training Specialist to join our growing team!

Primary Location:
- Candidates can originate from anywhere in the United States but must be willing to relocate to New Mexico.
- Preference will be given to candidates already residing in New Mexico.
- Your workplace will be in an office environment and remote from a personal location and will depend on the need of the project.
- Use your training expertise to conduct or co-facilitate orientations and training programs for policy-driven programs.
- Learn and understand required policies in an expedient manner as part of a small team to ensure an effective delivery of engaging training material.
- Prepare and present training delivery for live audiences, self-paced online learning, and hybrid/blended learning.
- Be a creative and effective communicator to ensure training programs are well received by participants.
- Measure training metrics and outcomes, as well as analyze and report on results within relevant systems of record to both management and key stakeholders.
- Develop or assist in the production of classroom handouts, presentation materials, and manuals.
- Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees work behavior, suggest and develop materials for future training needs based on current programmatic outcomes.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders, departmental managers, Subject Matter Experts, and internal Instructional Design team to assess training needs and develop quality training materials.
- Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes.
- Carry out general administrative duties, such as: coordinating enrollment, scheduling class times and locations, and sending invitation information to all trainees and key stakeholders.
- Five (5) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the field or related area.
- Strong background in using Microsoft Products, specifically MS Teams
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to respond to and prioritize multiple and varied needs.
- Strong communication skills, including; public speaking, leading remote meetings, responding to urgent needs in a timely manner, and excellent internal and external customer service.
- Ability to meet the necessary qualifications and suitability requirements to obtain and maintain a FEMA badge, which may include background checks and security clearances as required by FEMA.
- Bachelor's Degree in communications, business, education or related discipline.
- Adequate experience working with Learning Management Systems – Moodle.
- Strong organizational skills, project management experience.
- Experience working within Emergency Management, Accounting, Federal/State Government, or other technical fields preferred (but not required)
- Office Locations: Office locations are often either owned by the client we work with or by IEM. All candidates are expected to follow any rules and regulations of the office in which they are required to work for that project.
- Remote Work: All remote work environments require the ability to maintain minimum Internet speeds of 25 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download, as well as a ping rate of 100 ms or less during working hours, regardless of the type and number of devices using your Internet connection. You must also have account privileges and access to your Internet service provider account during working hours for the purposes of maintaining the Internet connection, if needed.
- Starting salary based on location and experience: $60,000-$70,000
