Job Description
As the Lead Medical Assistant you are a critical member of our team committed to delivering great care to our patients and to working effectively and respectfully with one another. You are key to our promise of delivering an exceptional patient experience by performing administrative and clinical tasks in the Urgent Care setting under the direct supervision of the Site Manager.
MA Duties and Responsibilities
Triage Patient:
- Document Visit Reason
- Obtain Vitals
- Medical/Surgical History
- Update Medication List
- Document Allergies
- Prepare patient for provider examination
Perform Patient testing
- CLIA waived testing
- EKG/PFT
- X-rays
- Phlebotomy
- Assist provider during procedures
Patient Treatment
- M/SQ/PO/nebulized Medication administration under the direction of APP
- Administer Immunizations/TB testing
- Splinting
- Wound care
Clinical Responsibilities
- Maintain HIPAA/OSHA/BLS
- Stock supplies in rooms
- Clean rooms after each patient
- Remove trash
Clerical/FD Responsibilities

Register patients
- Clockwise and Docutab
- Obtain HIPAA and Treatment consent forms

Schedule appointments
- Follow up if patient does not show
- Verify personal and insurance information
- Scan ID and Insurance cards
- Verify PCP and pharmacy information
- Real time insurance verification

Occupational Health Accounts
- Verify accounts, payment process, sending records and f/u
- Collect Fees, balances, and Copays
- Log and post all payments
- Closing Envelope
- Place cash & log in Closing Envelope and place in safe
- Verify cash box
- Medical record release
- Maintain HIPAA protocols
- Scan discharge signatures/documents
- Scan Sports Physical/DOT forms/EKgs and other documents into charts
- Closing Envelope

- Verify cash box
Additional Responsibilities as Lead Medical Assistant
- Assist with Orienting/Training New Hires at Front and Back Desk
- Maintain clinic inventory and assist with ordering supplies
- Maintain clinic cleanliness/organization
- Put away orders and rotate supplies based on expiration
- Quality Control for CLIA waived testing
- Assist with daily/monthly/annual clinic logs and check lists

Assist site manager with managing schedule and call-ins
- Two days per week on call to cover call-ins
- Obtain additional training as needed
- 3 Clinical Shifts Per week
- Additional tasks/duties as assigned by your site manager
Compensation details: 19.5-19.5 Hourly Wage
