IES Commercial, Inc. – Commercial & Industrial Division, seeking IT Technician, in Suffolk, VA.
Job Summary
- Identifies, researches, isolates, and resolves desktop system problems.
- Supports computer users by addressing various software and hardware issues.
- Provides secondary support to IES network analyst.
- Supports on-going system upgrades.
- Maintains reported user issues inside Service Desk Ticketing System per IT policies and procedures for documenting receipts and resolution of user issues.
- Attends IT/security related training classes and conferences as required.
- Adheres to company policies & procedures for IT practices, company information confidentiality and secured systems access to include compliance with PII (Personal Identifying Information) and user support system accesses.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Computer Science or other related field; or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Network systems/operating systems (Windows/MS Office products).
- Experience with Computer Hardware/Software Troubleshooting, Upgrades, and Conversions.
- Strong communication (written/oral), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively support remote users via telephone/internet interfaces.
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check.
