Job Summary:
The Lead Logistics Specialist will organize the distribution of goods and supplies. The Lead Logistics Specialist will ensure that the right items are delivered to the right locations on time and at a good cost.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Lead Logistics Specialist will strategically plan and coordinate material deliveries to job sites.
- The Lead Logistics Specialist will facilitate material orders to align with project schedules.
- The Lead Logistics Specialist will forecast needs for projects.
- The Lead Logistics Specialist will keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
- The Lead Logistics Specialist will resolve any arising problems or complaints.
- The Lead Logistics Specialist meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.
- The Lead Logistics Specialist will maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
- The Lead Logistics Specialist will handle other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and lead others to create, develop and implement project process improvement(s).
- Must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners.
- Must have proven problem solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
- Must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
- Must able to travel within branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
- Must be able to learn Company and customer project management systems.
Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:
- Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
- Must have experience in customer interface, such as liaison between the customer and the Company.
- Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of logistics experience.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
- Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
