Job Overview
The Safety Coordinator Professional plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment for employees at IES Communications. This position is responsible for implementing, administering, and maintaining all safety policies and programs across various projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Fully support and ensure compliance with IES safety policies, procedures, and programs as well as Federal and State Standards.
- Develop and manage safety initiatives aimed at preventing occupational incidents, injuries, and illnesses.
- Perform regular jobsite safety audits/inspections to determine compliance with IES safety policies, procedures, and federal and state safety standards.
- Maintain documentation and training requirements related to confined space entry.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalency; Associate degree or higher preferred.
- At least five years of experience in construction safety, preferably in the telecommunications or electrical industry.
- Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Safety and Health Regulations for Construction.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
