Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Administrator to join our growing IT Infrastructure and Cloud Services team. This role focuses on managing and administering our Microsoft Azure cloud environment, supporting our enterprise Office 365 ecosystem, and contributing to our digital transformation initiatives. You’ll be instrumental in deploying and maintaining cloud applications, ensuring system availability, and leveraging automation and scripting to improve processes.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies with strong scripting capabilities and deep experience with Microsoft 365 services.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Microsoft Azure environments, including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, and Azure AD (EntraID).
- Deploy and manage Azure Web Apps, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Support and administer Microsoft Exchange Online, MS Teams, and Intune within an enterprise Office 365 environment.
- Leverage Azure DevOps for code deployments, process automation, and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Perform configuration and administration of Microsoft DataLake and Synapse (preferred).
- Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation, particularly around Exchange and Active Directory tasks (e.g., user provisioning, mailbox creation, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers and system administrators, to support hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Provide technical expertise in hybrid cloud environments, with an emphasis on cloud-first initiatives.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
- Support incident response and troubleshooting as a Tier III escalation point for cloud services.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and implement security best practices within the Azure environment.
Specific Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant IT experience, with a focus on cloud technologies and enterprise systems.
- 5 years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure Cloud environments.
- Expertise in managing and supporting Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, and Intune.
- Proven experience with PowerShell scripting, automating administrative tasks (particularly within Exchange and Active Directory).
- Experience deploying Azure Web Apps and leveraging Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft EntraID (Azure AD).
- Ability to manage hybrid on-premises/cloud environments, with a focus on cloud-first strategies.
- Microsoft Azure Administrator Certification (AZ-104) is required.
- Microsoft Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) certification.
- Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-800 or AZ-801) certification.
- Experience with DataLake and Synapse Analytics.
- Prior experience working in a hybrid cloud environment (Azure/on-premises).
- Familiarity with D365 is a plus (not required).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet thrive in a team setting.
- Interest in taking on increasing responsibility with potential for career advancement into an IT Manager or IT Network Manager role.
- Location: Sugar Land, TX - 100% onsite, Monday through Friday.
- Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week.
- Occasional after-hours work may be required for system updates, deployments, or troubleshooting.
