We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Cost Analyst to join our team. This position involves managing and reviewing the costing of jobs within our financial system, Sage, ensuring that all materials and invoices are accurately accounted for, and assisting with monthly cost accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a background in accounting, and experience working with financial systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening Jobs in Financial System (Sage): Initiate and track new job openings within the Sage financial system to ensure accurate and timely setup.
- Costing Review: Perform comprehensive costing reviews for completed jobs, ensuring that all financial data is accurate, up-to-date, and reflective of the actual costs incurred.
- Material Utilization Accounting and Review: Review and account for all materials used against individual jobs, ensuring that material costs are properly recorded and allocated to the correct job cost codes.
- Invoicing: Prepare and process invoices for completed jobs through the financial system, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to clients or customers.
- Cost to Complete Schedules: Develop and maintain cost-to-complete schedules for ongoing projects, assisting project managers and finance teams in forecasting remaining costs to ensure projects stay within budget.
- Monthly Cost Accounting Review: Assist with the monthly cost accounting process by reviewing job costs, ensuring that all expenses have been accurately recorded, and supporting the overall financial reporting and reconciliation efforts.
