Title: Mechanical Drafter
Status: Exempt
Reports To: Engineering Manager
Location: Tulsa, OK
Summary:
The Mechanical Drafter is responsible for part and assembly layout drawings to produce designs for generator enclosures, UL listed fuel tanks, sub-frames and service platforms. Direction will be given from the Engineering Manager through submittal drawings and schedule to carry out the detail production design. It will be the drafter’s responsibility to take the engineering design package and create production ready drawings with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
· Create detailed production drawings primarily using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
· Sheetmetal and structural part layout, fastening methods and detailed assembly instructions
· Review any issues on shop floor with engineer and supervisor, make revisions as necessary
· Drawings adhere to company standards
· Maintain schedule for production release
· Perform revisions based on redlines from engineering or production and submit through ECN
Specific Qualifications
Qualifications:
· Certificate or Associates in Mechanical Design
· Proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, Excel, and ERP Software.
· Strong attention to details.
· Hands-on production and mechanical experience.
· Thorough understanding of sheet metal and weldment structures.
· Knowledgeable of SolidWorks best practices.
· Understanding machine capabilities and fabrication equipment.
· Strong work ethic with demonstrated accountability.
· Able to work efficiently with minimum supervision.
· Ability to solve problems, find root causes, and take preventive or corrective actions.
