Job Summary:

Plant Power & Control Systems is seeking a skilled Wireman to join our team in Calera, AL. The Wireman will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels, switchgear, and power distribution equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience reading electrical schematics, working with a variety of wiring tools, and ensuring all wiring meets company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.

· Wire control panels, switchgear/switchboard, and power distribution equipment according to specifications.

· Cut, strip, and terminate wires with appropriate connectors and lugs.

· Conduct quality checks and perform troubleshooting on electrical components.

· Ensure compliance with company standards, NEC regulations, and safety guidelines.

· Assemble electrical enclosures, conduit, and cable management systems.

· Work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure proper assembly and wiring.

· Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

· High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.

· 1 years of experience in electrical wiring, panel assembly, or related field.

· Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

· Familiarity with tools such as micrometers, tape measure and caliper, wire strippers, crimpers, and power drills.

· Knowledge of NEC codes and electrical safety practices.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

· Knowledge of PLC wiring and low/high voltage systems.

· Ability to troubleshoot and test electrical components.
