What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at IES Residential, Inc.?
Job Summary: The Dispatcher will coordinate day-to-day project activities with-in the residential and service installation departments.
- Helps plan and schedule assignments of residential crew.
- Receives inbound customer service calls and coordinates the daily schedules of residential service technicians.
- Maintains Network Fleet information accuracy and timeliness including scheduling vehicle maintenance when appropriate, adding landmarks, managing alerts, updating communities.
- Follows up daily with supervisors to address customer issues and the preceding day’s production.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintains a well-organized work area where information can be found in the event of an absence.
- Answer telephones, handles calls, routes to appropriate individual or takes messages, ensures customers, vendors and employees are handled in a professional manner. Maintains a phone log of all incoming and outgoing calls.
- Checks voice messages and emails – directs to the proper department
- Notifies Construction Manager and supervisors of reported absences by crew leaders and apprentices.

- Considerable interpersonal skills in interacting with management, field support staff, suppliers and customers.
- Proficient with windows based personal computers and related software.
