What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Estimator position at IES Residential, Inc.?
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team and assist with estimating electrical work for single family homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and construction, as well as the ability to accurately estimate costs for projects. The Electrical Estimator will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the scope of work
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment needed for electrical projects in single family homes
- Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to discuss project requirements and budgets
- Monitor project costs and budgets throughout the construction process
- Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and value engineering options
- Prepare and submit bids for electrical projects
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

- Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical estimating for single family homes
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction practices
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
