Electrical Service Technician

Edmonson Electric, a division of IES Residential, is actively seeking a Service Technician for the Orlando, FL area. The role involves performing hot checks and service calls with a requirement for accurate and efficient troubleshooting.

Responsibilities include:
• Responding to homeowner calls promptly.
• Completing all tasks at homeowners' residences neatly and professionally.
• Addressing any homeowner issues as noted on their work ticket.
• Leaving homes free of debris and materials after service.
• Managing situations with homeowners and deescalating any dissatisfaction, assuring them of our commitment to excellent service.
• Being available for on-call after-hours emergency service on a rotating basis with other technicians.
• Carrying out additional duties as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical trade for all residential electric aspects.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and scaling to ensure accurate placement of fixtures, receptacles, and switches.
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to listen actively and attentiveness.
• Customer service-oriented with the ability to address customer complaints effectively.
• Strong time management, organizational, multitasking, and detail-oriented skills.
• Ability to remain focused on tasks and work well under pressure.

Education and Experience:
• Extensive experience in all residential electricity phases.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
• Extended periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders.
• Capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
• Able to work in confined spaces.
• Proficient with extended use of hand and power tools.
• Clean driving record required.

This position directly reports to the Service Manager and indirectly reports to the Director of Construction or Branch Manager
