We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Laborer/Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be help with the efficient operation and management of the warehouse to support construction projects. Your role involves coordinating the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies, ensuring that inventory levels meet project needs and deadlines. You'll work closely with procurement and construction teams to forecast inventory needs, track orders, and maintain accurate records. Additionally, the role will include loading, delivering, and unloading materials at various construction sites.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with operational activities with residential service and dispatch to ensure accurate and timely product delivery; verifies material condition with subcontractors prior to material leaving the yard.
- Monitors and assists with the unloading of deliveries in the warehouse; ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection. Routes packing slips to accounting, resolves discrepancies with vendor invoices.
- Follows schedules and assists with all material activities in the warehouse and between satellite warehouses. Maintain storage racks and areas so they are neat, organized and forklift accessible; keeps all inventory marked and properly located; ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
- Assists with tracking all company equipment and tools; assists with ensuring adequate inventory levels, supplies and machinery.
- Operates fork lift, pallet jack and other material handling equipment common to warehouse operations.
- Maintains record and reporting systems to identify cost centers that can be reduced and/or eliminated.
- Drives stakebody truck, vans, and pickups to make material deliveries and pick ups at various distributors and project sites.
