The General Superintendent will be responsible for planning and coordination of Electrical installation for new construction multifamily projects and oversee the work & manpower of the field/project Forman and Crews in the Indianapolis area.

Specific Qualifications
General Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organizes & coordinates Multifamily Construction Projects through project Foreman
- Evaluates/determines and allocates manpower/workforce needs on projects.
- Assists & conducts interviews for new field employee’s
- Resolves manpower conflicts and challenges on projects.
- Coordinates with Project Manager to:
- Operate/maintain/meet project guidelines & expectations.
- Maintain & meet project schedules & time lines
- Work with field/office and preconstruction drawing department to maintain/update/correct field drawings
- Assure all daily inspections are being performed to meet quality expectations/guidelines.
- Assures Forman is completing all required daily paperwork and processes per company guidelines.
- Resolves conflicts and challenges with field/project manpower.
- Develop/maintain and provide training to field for:
- Project supervision
- Completion of DCR reports & TBT
- On-site material receiving process
- On-site RFI & RFQ process
- Attends weekly project on-site meetings with Forman as needed.
- Attends weekly office production meetings
- Develop pre-employment trade-related job skill assessments
- Prepare employees to accomplish job results by developing, planning, conducting, and evaluating training
- Conduct training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to work procedures, workflow, and reports, understanding job-specific functions and tasks
- Conduct training classes by presenting job-specific and company-specific software applications and other methods as required
- Administers and completes performance evaluations of assigned field employees.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
- Implement training processes and best practices that add value and improve business performance
- Maintain personal knowledge, training and proficiency on NEC Code & installed products
- Work with training team to design and implement new training programs and revise old programs
- Ensure and maintain safe projects to meet company and OSHA safety guidelines.

- Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
- Must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
- Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
- Must possess the ability to learn and teach the Company and customer project management systems.
Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:
- Must possess a minimum of five (5) years’ experience or related role.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ Supervisor / management Electrical experience in the Multifamily arena or related technical/construction field.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of job costing, job planning, quality management, safety training and contract administration.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project).
- Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Highly knowledgeable of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the Electrical construction industry.
- Ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
- Possess good knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their application.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
- Working knowledge of Electrical Construction process (bid process, project supervision, project management, delegation, financial etc.)
