General Job Description
IES Residential is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and streamline all operational aspects of our residential new home construction projects. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of homes while maintaining budget constraints and meeting safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction, excellent leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee multiple new home construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards. Provide training, mentorship, and development opportunities to ensure team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
Develop and manage project budgets, including materials, labor, and subcontractor costs.
Review and approve project invoices, purchase orders, and change orders.Identify and address potential cost overruns or delays to keep projects on track.Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion.Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.Conduct regular inspections to ensure high-quality construction and workmanship.Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.Manage relationships with key vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and service delivery.Negotiate contracts and service agreements as necessary.Maintain accurate records of all project activities, including progress reports, financial reports, and change orders.Report regularly to senior management on the status of projects, including any challenges or successes.
