Job Title: Pre-Construction Project Coordinator
Job Description:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Pre-Construction Project Coordinator to join our team. This critical role within the pre-construction team will be responsible for revising estimating take-off’s to extract material lists. The ideal candidate will have an electrical background, familiarity with Accubid Anywhere estimating software, and a strong understanding of construction prints.
The Pre-Construction Project Coordinator will also be responsible for interpretation of all trade drawings, with a focus in electrical systems for multi-family and commercial projects, working closely with Project managers to produce Change Orders. Strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and all trade drawings for multi-family and commercial construction projects.
- Revise and update estimating take-offs, creating precise material lists using Accubid Anywhere estimating software.
- Work alongside the Project Manager to develop, issue, and track Change Orders, ensuring accurate project scope adjustments.
- Provide input into project planning, proactively identifying potential issues and opportunities during the pre-construction phase.
- Collaborate with the pre-construction team, project managers, and other team members to ensure smooth coordination and seamless transition into the construction phase.
- Maintain strong attention to detail and high standards of accuracy across all pre-construction documentation and estimates.
- Ensure materials and installations are aligned with industry standards, with a focus on multi-family and commercial electrical components.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in blueprint reading and interpretation, specifically for electrical systems in multi-family and commercial construction.
- Proficiency in utilizing Accubid Anywhere estimating software or similar estimating tools.
- Solid understanding of electrical materials and installation processes.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Previous experience with Change Orders, RFIs, and pre-construction coordination is preferred.
- A team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
