IESR is seeking someone with experience for the position of HVAC Estimator/Starts Coordinator at our Austin, TX location. In this role, you must be self-motived, detail oriented, and have exceptional organizational skills. As HVAC Estimator you will utilize company resources to provide residential project cost estimates to our IESR HVAC divisions. This is a full-time position that is ideal for the field technician wanting to transition to the office or a recent graduate who is looking for hands on training, exposure to new construction projects, and an opportunity to work with an amazing team!

Specific Qualifications
Job Responsibilities:
- HVAC Estimators compile all costs including fees, profit and overhead before submittal of a proposal. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Basic understanding of plans, specifications, take-offs, and other design elements to identify scope of work to be bid.
- Perform takeoffs of materials, equipment, and labor using estimating software
- Prepare project proposals as directed
- Maintain, monitor, and update bid templates in estimating software as directed.
Essential Functions/Requirements:

- High School Diploma Required; Residential Construction experience (preferably in HVAC) is desired.
- Fundamental understanding of the material uses and descriptions
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret project plans, engineering drawings, technical manuals and other trade related data.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence in a professional manner.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Division Managers and clients.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, and to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to conceptualize a project based on limited information.
- Ability to interpret instructions provided in various means.
- Maintain, monitor, and track material costs and component templates in estimating software
- Posses basic computer skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Eel, Word, and Teams). Intermediate experience with Excel, particularly use of advanced formulas is highly desired. Experience with takeoff software such as Accubid Anywhere or similar program is a plus but no required.
