Essential Functions
Lead analysis and implementation of supply chain improvement initiatives, including designing and implementing material flow and storage strategies based on Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
Improve flow of parts with suppliers, third-party logistics partners, and customers to achieve better cycle times and reduced costs.
Establish, maintain, and communicate material flow specifications, and coordinate resolution of internal and external issues.
Develop and maintain KPIs to measure and improve material flow from suppliers, to production operations and to customers.
Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing practices, and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 quality standards.
Lead both systematic and physical logistics ramp-ups for new program launches.
Perform logistics cost calculations, time studies, and costing studies.
Travel
15% travel, both domestic and international.
Required Education And Experience
Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Engineering Management, Logistics and Transportation Management, Logistics and Transportation Science, or foreign equivalent.
4 years of experience in a logistics engineering or planning position with an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier.

Required Education And Experience

4 years of experience in a logistics engineering or planning position with an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
4 Years Of Experience With Each Of The Following
- Creating and implementing tools for monitoring automotive industry supply chain operational performance, including forecasting, building database infrastructure and front-ends, and freight network optimization
- Performing comparative analysis of existing KPIs and reporting structures to implement improved platforms for automotive industry logistics systems management
- Leading automotive industry logistics engineering solution design work, including qualifying and validating design phases, and building layouts and systematic ERP models for both new and recurring business
- Instructing automotive industry logistics staff in SAP ERP system functionality, including WM/IM/MM/PP/SD modules.
- Creating and implementing both brown and green field automotive industry manufacturing facility layouts in accordance with AIAG/VDA standards using MS Excel, MS Visio, and 2D modeling software, including materials flow and process designs in conjunction with bid models.
- Working knowledge of IATF16949
- Trained and knowledgeable in site safety policies and procedures
- SAP

- Understands the consequences of non-process adherence
- Must be able to work any shift as required including overtime as needed
- Basic Microsoft Outlook experience
