Essential Job Functions:
The Process Analysts primary responsibilities are pay and benefits analysis, issue resolution and communication, client relations. Specific Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for accuracy of calculating and processing various areas of compensation into a several proprietary financial systems, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of information. This includes working accounts by organization or country code by processing a variety of transactions which affect pay, leave, taxes, benefits and other deductions.
- Receive, research, analyze, and process pay actions such as, but not limited to: Arrival and departure notifications; Other agency allowance only employees; Combined Federal Campaign (CFC); Danger Pay, Direct Deposit Allotment, Language Incentive Pay (LIP); Advance of Pay; Cost of Living Allowances; Federal Employees’ Group Life Insurance; Leave Adjustments; Lump Sum Annual Leave; Post Differential Allowance; Standard Retroactive Adjustments; Supplemental Payments; Thrift Savings Plan Adjustments
- Verifies the validity of personnel actions; rejecting those that are not properly completed or in accordance with existing personnel laws and regulations and advises post personnel offices of the deficiencies and corrections needed.
- Answers questions from employees and representatives regarding compensation inquiries (pay, deductions and related matters).
- Audits, analyzes, and reconciles reports or accounts, and as necessary, makes adjustments, which are largely retroactive in nature. More difficult adjustments may require extensive record searches and involve correction of accounts.
- Perform manual calculations when deemed necessary to verify year-to-date adjustments and corrections when the calculations cannot be performed through the automated payroll systems.
- Research, correct and determine the cause of erroneous payments. Provides accurate, timely and concise communication regarding the resolution.
- Balance and review all output, investigation, and correction of errors associated with the auditing of payroll data.
- Calculate overpayments, prepare proposed repayment schedules, communicate those proposals to the employees and/or necessary offices and enter the collections in accordance Federal Government regulations.
- Prepares reports on various aspects of compensation and project matters as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- A four-year degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. A master’s degree and/or a CPA certification or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) is highly desirable.
- Two years of college two years of experience relative to the specific position, or four years of experience relative to the specific position may be substituted for education.
- Professional Financial Certifications may be considered in lieu of minimum experience requirements at the Contracting Officer Representatives (COR) discretion.
- High levels of confidentiality, ethics and integrity is required.
