Assembler/Packer
Position title: Assembler/Packer
Reports to: Department Supervisor
Supervises: N/A
Position summary:
Performs manual labor along a production line as well as pick and pack orders in a timely manner utilizing the least amount of time, motion, materials and space as possible. May perform minor repairs as necessary.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for quality control and to make adjustments as needed in order to produce a product within specifications.
- Must operate within standard operating procedures and safety rules and regulations.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- The ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Able to work with speed and accuracy.
- The ability to communicate with other operators in a professional manner.
- The ability to perform more than one operation along the assembly line.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift at least 20 pounds on a regular basis.
- Accurately count materials and/or products.
- Must follow all safety rules and regulations and standard operating procedures
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have the ability to follow instructions.
- Must have ability to understand written and verbal specifications and translate.
- Can operate a variety of machines.
Education and work experience:
- On the job training provided.
- Must be considered LEGALLY BLIND
